Registering If you register at The Science Advisory Board, you also have the right to view and update your registration information at any time. If you need to correct or update any of your personal or professional information, you can automatically do so after logging in and going to "My Profile." Your revised profile will be automatically updated in our database after clicking on the "Update Profile!" button. Study Participation Our membership records are stored in a proprietary database and are used to determine whether you meet the criteria requested for specific market research studies. If we think your profile qualifies you for a study, The Science Advisory Board will e-mail you an invitation to inform you of this opportunity. You may elect not to participate in a study and still maintain your membership. Rewarding Your Participation You will be compensated with ViewPoints or a chance to win special prizes each time you complete a study by the required deadline. You may redeem your points for items in the Rewards Catalog at any time. You will usually receive items from the Rewards Catalog within two weeks after placing your order, however, some international orders may take somewhat longer. If a particular item is out-of-stock, we will alert you to the situation and give you the opportunity to select an alternate item. The Science Advisory Board reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product for any of the gifts in our catalog. If your organization does not permit the acceptance of gratuities, we will be happy to make a monetary contribution to the charity of your choice. Other Ways To Express Your Opinion Occasionally, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in a live focus group or telephone interview based upon your unique qualifications. Should you choose to participate, your ViewPoints account will be credited with additional points. Discontinuing Membership You may end your status without any obligation as a Science Advisory Board member at any time by contacting us at questions@scienceboard.net with a message containing your screen name and/or your email address with which you are registered. Security We have employed a security system at our physical site and with our computer systems, databases, and communications networks to effectively protect information contained within our systems from loss, misuse, or alteration.
