Winners of our Scientific Personality Assessment study
Posted 10/18/2004

Scientists around the world share many common values, but they often differ in their approach to research. Some are analytical while others are creative; some are aggressive while others are more deliberate in nature. Ironically, this assortment of traits is beneficial to a profession that so heavily depends upon collaboration: scientists' personalities tend to complement one another and contribute to successful research.

By answering a few simple questions in our Scientific Personality Assessment (SPA) tool, members were allowed to determine their own scientific persona. Just for using this tool, participants were entered into a drawing for one of five $100 USD honoraria from Amazon.com.

Congratulations are extended to the following winners:

Ginger, Staff Scientist, United States (Scientific Persona: Leader)
Glenda, Surgical Processor, Canada (Scientific Persona: Leader)
Ramon, Principal Investigator, Spain (Scientific Persona: Leader)
Donovan, Laboratory Technician, Canada (Scientific Persona: Leader)
Andrew, Principal Investigator, United Kingdom (Scientific Persona: Explorer)
