SAB NewsWinner of the "Life Science Product Catalogs" Study AnnouncedPosted 6/10/2005 The Science Advisory Board surveyed more than 2300 life scientists on their use of and satisfaction with online and print life science catalogs. Of particular interest was how and for what applications they use catalogs to search for information, as well as their preferences regarding print vs. online catalogs. A summary of the study's highlights, is posted at the SAB Study Snapshots webpage. As a token of our appreciation, study participants were entered in an additional drawing for a $20 gift certificate from Amazon.com. We are excited to announce that a professor from the United States, screenname: rrylaarsdam, was the contest winner. When asked to provide a comment to the following question, "Do you take print catalogs with you when you move/change labs? If so, which catalogs do you take with you? Why or why not?," rrylaarsdam stated: "I always take the [New England Biolabs] catalog because I'm so used to using the technical data in the back." SAB Member comments to the bonus question have been posted on The SAB Web site and can be reviewed by accessing the study's Insights page. You are invited to contribute your own thoughts by accessing the Online Discussion Forum. Congratulations to everyone who made this study possible. The Science Advisory Board provides opportunities for its members to earn honoraria each and every time they participate in SAB-sponsored studies. Interested in finding out more?
