SAB NewsHumans in Science Blog Celebrates 3-Year AnniversaryPosted 12/4/2007 The Science Advisory board would like to congratulate the Humans in Science blog, and the author (pen name Alethea), on its three-year anniversary. The Humans in Science blog began in November 2004 in an attempt to showcase the daily life of a scientist; everything from life at home and hobbies to the achievements (and frustrations) that occur in the lab. Currently a researcher at INSERM in France, Alethea has enabled her readers to enjoy the perspective of a life scientist for the last three years. As an American biologist who has lived in France for the last several years, she also brings an international angle to her blog entries, frequently writing about the differences in culture, politics, and their impact on the scientific community. The Science Advisory Board would like to thank Alethea for her contributions to Humans in Science, and we look forward to additional interesting and insightful blog entries in the future. As The SAB prepares for 2008, we would like to extend an invitation for new blog content from our members. Do you currently have a blog related to an aspect of the life sciences? Would you be interested in authoring or co-authoring a blog hosted by The SAB online community? To express your interest, and obtain more information on our selection guidelines, please contact Kathryn Henwood, Membership Coordinator. If you would like to view current SAB blogs click here. |
