Posted 4/17/2002

Dr. Tamara Zemlo, Director of Scientific & Medical Communications for The Science Advisory Board, will be speaking at the Proteomics: Delivering New Routes to Drug Discovery Conference on Monday, May 6, 2002.  Dr. Zemlo’s presentation entitled, “Overview of Proteomics Technologies: Perspectives from the Bench,” is based upon the results from the eight-part proteomics study sponsored by The Science Advisory Board last winter.  Over 1,000 Science Board members participated in this multi-part study, which focused on the tools and technologies of proteomics involved in protein expression, purification, visualization, separation, characterization and interactions.  She will be reporting on the study’s key findings, especially in regards to emerging trends in proteomics research.  In addition, she will be commenting on scientists’ needs for improved protein-based methodologies.

The conference will take place in Philadelphia and is sponsored by IBC.  Please send  an email to t.zemlo@scienceboard.net if you will also be attending the conference for she would like to arrange to meet you!
