The recent study on Molecular Weight Markers brought a lot of wonderful and creative responses from our members to the "If your favorite Molecular Weight Marker was a shoe, what kind would it be, and why?" question.

The entire collection of responses can be read in this article:

http://www.scienceboard.net/community/news/news.296.html

I propose a vote! Which quote do you think is most clever/amusing/insightful/etc.?

Or maybe you can come up with one of your own!

Simply post the quote you like best in a reply to this thread, and we will tally them after we get a good number of votes.

Who knows? There may even be some ViewPoints prizes involved for winning quotes!

Happy voting!

I personally found this one amusing:

... probably the same number of academics that actually want Jimmy Choo shoes ;)

unfortunately for me, many of our molecular weight markers have the new nifty "non-marking soles" on - making tracking a chore....

Yeaah...they're all the rage in Hollywood these days.

I love picking up those deliciously awful STAR and CELEBRITY mags and seeing pictures of celebrities.

It's like reading a personal ad...

ie. Here's a picture of Nicoel Richie: Current weight...what she didn't eat for dinner...her shoes are Jimmy Choo (of course)...her dog's name is...

You get the idea.

Anything paired with a lab coat is fabulous.

Maybe Jimmy Choo or even Donatella Versace could put out a special line of designer lab coats...for the 'discriminating scientist'.

Yikes, I can think of so many other things I would rather do with $1000. And I even like shoes!

What WOULD you do with $1000 burning a hole in your lab coat pocket?

The boring answer is pay off bills...

The "dare I dream" answer is take a fun family vacation somewhere kind of exotic (although $1000 won't go that far with a family of 4).
