August 20, 2021 -- New England Biolabs has launched NEBNext immune sequencing kits, which are available for human or mouse samples to allow for B-cell and/or T-cell repertoire analysis of infections, the company announced.
The kits allow for profiling somatic mutations in the full-length immune gene repertoires of B cells and T cells through the expression of complete antibody chains. The company said the kits include modular primer sets, providing information for complete V, D, and J segments and full isotype information analysis (immunoglobulin M [IgM], IgD, IgG, IgA, and IgE), as well as T-cell receptor (TCR) chain characterization.
The kits include a bioinformatic workflow on the company's Galaxy platform, which is based on the open-source Presto toolkit.
A template-switching unique molecular identifier-based mRNA barcoding process allows polymerase chain reaction copies derived from an individual molecule to be converted to a consensus sequence. The company said this improves sequence accuracy and eliminates reaction bias.
